When it comes to chronic disease, the healthcare system is great at prescribing medications but what is missing is the holistic lifestyle medicine that can be implemented along side this to help prevent disease or manage existing health issues and get you back to feeling healthy once more.
This is where a health coach comes in.

During these sessions you choose the area(s) you want to focus on, whether that is to lose weight, improve energy, better manage stress, prevent and/or manage or reverse disease diagnosis and much more. As a coach I respect you as the expert in your own life, helping you discover the best routines that work for you and empower you to meet your unique health goals. If you don't know where to start when it comes to getting healthier I also have resources I can share with you around the latest science in these areas.

Coaching is effective as it drives behavioural change by connecting with your emotions and values. These core emotional drivers govern your behaviour so by getting in touch with these you can make the changes necessary to reach your health goals.

My own experience with navigating autoimmune diseases and years of study and research has led me to this place of actively bridging the gap between western and eastern medicine, looking at the body as a whole and helping people to find solutions to their challenges and create a life that works for them. I keep things simple using
behaviour change techniques coupled with the latest science backed healing protocols. Coaching is a way for you to unearth what's holding you back and what behaviour changes are needed to move forward allowing deep shifts to take place.

NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION
The journey has to start with feeling safe. So many people with chronic illness simply do not feel safe in their body and feel like they can't trust their body or their own intuition anymore. I use different methods here to calm and regulate the nervous system to help you build a strong connection with your body once more. From there the healing can go deeper.

Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. All 4 pillars matter when it comes to healing. a 360 degree approach is used with focus on nutrition, belief patterns, environment and mindset work. Reaching your goals takes making changes in your lifestyle and together we work out a plan that feels good for you.

RELEASE WORK
​
Somatic release exercises and breathwork are powerful modalities for shifting the physical manifestations of tension & trauma. They assist the body to move from sympathetic dominance (fight/flight) to parasympathetic dominance (rest/digest). I also teach you ways to release stuck emotions. The body heals quickly once in a parasympathetic state so this is an important step in the journey.

METABOLIC NUTRITION

If you have been diagnosed with any kind of disease, your metabolic health becomes an important factor to look at. Diets have a massive impact on the symptoms of diabetes, autoimmune conditions, heart disease and so on. There is a lot of varying information out there around this so I niche in the area of therapeutic diets for disease, sharing the latest science and studies and helping you to find which one will help you and your health challenges.
